			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you’ve ever experienced a panic attack, you know how terrifying they can be. Your breathing becomes restricted, your mind races, fear wells up seemingly out of nowhere and you begin to think that you’ll completely lose control. You may also experience, sweating, shakiness, an inability to swallow and an intense fear that you’ll die or have a heart attack.</p>

<p>Panic attacks occur because the fight/flight mechanism gets activated from too much stress. The Sympathetic Nervous System gets activated. It’s a primordial response to danger. The worst part of being a panic attack sufferer is the fear that you’ll have another one, which only exacerbates the problem even further. This is how panic disorder develops.</p>
<p>The good news is that panic attacks can be healed. I used to suffer panic attacks and successfully healed my disorder using relaxation methods including a daily yoga and meditation practice. This was before I was introduced to energy therapies which have been proven to help anxiety and panic attack sufferers. They help to activate the Parasympathetic Nervous System which works to maintain balance, peace and calm. One of my favorite energy therapies is the ZPoint process.</p>
<p>ZPoint is a remarkable process that works at a very deep level of the subconscious mind. The process uses a cue word and when you repeat your cue word like a mantra after the practitioner repeats various statements, you release deeper and deeper layers of upset and eventually peel away all the layers of the “onion” of anxiety.</p>
<p>As long as you commit to some sort of daily relaxation practice, you’ll soon find that you experience fewer and fewer anxiety and panic attacks. Your body will get used to this new energetic pattern of relaxation and it will become a habit for it to remain calm under pressure. Even 10 minutes a day of ZPoint, meditation, yoga or other form of relaxation will pay dividends in the long run.</p>

A lot of people are freaking out about the economy and worried about their financial future. This article outlines several techniques that you can use to calm and re-centre yourself.</p>

<p>Remember to breathe. Panic and anxiety attacks are often caused by shallow breathing up in the chest. Become consciously aware of your breathing habits and notice if shallow breathing is habit of yours. If so, you can develop a new habit – one that will help you to feel more peace. While lying down or sitting, put your hand on your lower abdomen and take a deep slow breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. If you notice that your hand is rising and falling, then you are doing it correctly. Do this several times per day, especially any time you feel stressed or anxious.</p>
<p>Take a walk. Getting out in nature and breathing in fresh air, just like your Momma told you to when you were younger and can help to calm you down especially if you walk consciously. In other words, as you are walking, listen to the sound of your feet hitting the pavement, the birds chirping or the wind whistling through the trees. Take in the smells and notice the colors of the plants and flowers. Practice the breathing exercise that you learned above while you do this. If you can devote 20 minutes a day to conscious walking, you’ll feel so much better and may loose a few pounds.</p>
<p>Cut back on the caffeine. You’ve heard this one before but it bears repeating. I see so many people at the drive through for the coffee shop that I’m sure the anxiety our society is feeling right now has a lot do with how much caffeine is consumed. Caffeine gets your adrenaline going making you feel more stressed. If you’ve ever contemplated giving up caffeine, now may be a good time. Or, reduce the amount of caffeine you ingest on a daily basis. Drink water instead and switch to herbal teas.</p>
<p>As you can see, these are some simple techniques that don’t require a huge investment of time, and there is no financial investment. Incorporate these things into your day and see how much better you feel.</p>
